Gain essential project management skills with industry expert Ryan Crawford
The next Project Management Certificate course offered by the University of Delaware Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (UD PCS) runs from Sept. 11 to Nov. 13, with live, online sessions on Wednesday evenings. Led by Ryan Crawford, an industry expert with extensive experience in project management, the course provides foundational knowledge in project management, covering predictive, adaptive and hybrid methods. Participants earn professional development units required by the Project Management Institute (PMI) for their internationally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
For video producer Dorian Bell, the Project Management Certificate was a way to stand out in an extremely competitive field. “I made the transition from tech to entertainment through work experience, but with COVID and then the Hollywood strikes, the job market in video production suddenly became really tight,” he explained. “I needed a way to set myself apart from other job applicants.
“Getting the certificate in project management really worked for me. Not only did it show that I’m ready to take on new challenges and grow professionally, but it also gave me real tools and strategies that I could immediately apply to my work. The course’s emphasis on best practice methodologies perfectly prepared me to lead my new team through some recent fast-paced projects.”
Participants enrolled in the Project Management Certificate program also have access to a suite of career resources and services, including UD’s exclusive career and job site, UD career fairs and meetups, and individual assistance with interview preparation and resume reviews.
Registration closes on Sept. 9, 2024. Learn more about the course and register at https://www.pcs.udel.edu/project.
